Gradually, the base notes begin to assert themselves, where patchouli provides a dark, leathery texture, ambroxan spreads a warm amber background around it, and cedar with vanilla settles everything close to the skin – vanilla here doesn't play sweet, it just wraps the finish in a velvety trail.
